Come home to this FOUR STAR family run hostel, where personal attention is the order of the day. It has an amazing sunset balcony from where the Swartberg Mountains form an idyllic view. The hostel is within walking distance from the local restaurants, movies, museum, supermarkets and banks. Well organised daily activities ensure an unforgettable experience in the Little Karoo! We offer amazing activities, meals and loads of free bees. Internet access with satellite speed also available!!! Our splash-pool works overtime during summer and makes the hostel very homely, spacious TV lounge, indoor and outdoor BBQ facilities, three equipped kitchens and very comfy rooms with wide beds. Our double rooms are private with queen size beds and en-suite showers and toilets and the twin rooms have 3/4 size beds with en-suite showers and toilets. Backpackers Paradise has a budget shuttle that depart daily from the hostel to transport travellers to the local attractions. You visit the world famous Cango Caves, Camel farm, Tea Garden for lunch and a swim, Ostrich Farm (ride an ostrich), Wildlife ranch (stroke a cheetah or tiger cub) and back to the hostel for an ice cold beer or swim. This full day trip costs R150 pp including transport and bike rental. We help you organise the following: Wine tasting, fishing, golf, microlighting (only R250 per half hour!! ), hot air ballooning, abseiling and rock climbing, hiking and waterfall kloofing, quad biking on a game farm, or quad biking on the Swartberg pass, basically anything you wanna do, we organise, cause personal attention is what we do! Ostrich Farm Visit the Ostrich Farm while on your cycle trip in the area or by Paradise Bus. You will have the opportunity to: Hug and Ostrich. Ride an Ostrich. Feed an Ostrich. Wildlife Ranch Another of the stops along the cycle trip route (or bus route) is at the Wildlife Ranch where you can get 'up close and personal' with cheetahs and tigers!! The tour is nothing like a safari experience, you really get up close with the animals.
